How Improscar® Works
Improscar® is a silicone based formulation which allows for better wound healing preventing scarring. The formulation is developed with Swedish Plastic Surgeons and Dermatologists. Improscar® is approved by the Malaysian National Pharmaceutical Registration Agency (NPRA).
STAGE I:
Improscar® creates a waterproof, oxygen-permeable layer which prevents moisture loss.
STAGE II:
Moisture prevents the stimulation of excessive collagen.
STAGE III:
Trans-epidermal moisture downregulates cytokine & fibroblast stimulation by keratinocytes.
STAGE IV:
Lower granulisation results in less inflammation and redness which reduces the severity of scarring.
